Markdown compiled to static HTML. No server, no database, and every figure on it counted from the files.
Astro, static output, deployed by hand. Every entry is a markdown file, and every count you see — entries, elapsed time, how many days have a page of their own — is computed from those files when the site is built. Nothing is typed in. If a number here is wrong, the record is wrong, not the arithmetic.
It replaced a version of itself that held 414 entries, 403 of which a script had written in one afternoon. I deleted all of it. The record starts again from what I can check.
