The workspace exists, and running its skills found five things that had never worked

The workspace exists. Books moved into it, the engine came down to ten files, and the shared hooks moved to the platform so a project gets them without owning a copy.

Running the skills found five things that had never worked. The hooks had never fired. The memory layer was wired to nothing. A skill with a shell block returned nothing on the chat page. Books could not start on its own configured port. The diff panel had never shown a diff, and its revert button discarded work.

Books’ own instruction file described a system that no longer exists, and cost four thousand tokens a turn to say so.

Atomic Habits, the identity idea, then the first of the four laws. A habit has to be obvious from outside, because remembering it is the part that fails.

Write to me

If any of this is something you can help with, or you think I have got it wrong, write and tell me. I read them all myself.
