The first Mahashivaratri of Rama Lingeshwara, with the whole path lit

Six weeks after we installed him, Mahashivaratri came, and it was the first one anybody had spent with Rama Lingeshwara Swamy there.

I asked for the whole path to be lit. We had never done that. Tube lights sometimes, and usually not even those. That year I wanted colour on it, the whole way up, so that when people came it looked like something.

The road was still not built. It was the same track, and people walked it in the dark with the lights strung above them.

I have spent every Mahashivaratri at this temple since 2016 and I have never once gone home for one.
